UAWatch is a trading name of The Structured Data Company Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16095340 ("we", "us", "our"). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you use UAWatch at uawatch.com.

What data we collect

• Email address — collected when you sign in. Used to send you sign-in links, subscription confirmations, cancellation confirmations, and bot access change alerts.
• Website URLs — the URLs you submit for monitoring. These are used solely to run bot access checks.
• Check results — the results of our daily bot checks against your submitted URLs. Stored for up to 30 days.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your account.

What data we do not collect

• We do not collect your name (unless you provide it to Stripe during checkout).
• We do not use cookies for advertising.
• We do not use analytics tools that track individual behaviour.
• We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.

How we use your data

• To provide the UAWatch service — running daily checks and sending change alerts.
• To manage your subscription via Stripe.
• To send you transactional emails (sign-in links, confirmations, alerts). We do not send marketing emails.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract performance — processing your email address and site URLs is necessary to provide the service you have subscribed to. Payment data is processed by Stripe under their own legal basis.

Data retention

• Check results are retained for 30 days then automatically deleted.
• Your account data (email, Stripe IDs) is retained while your account is active.
• If you delete your account, all data associated with it is permanently deleted within 24 hours.

Third parties

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
• IONOS — hosting and email infrastructure. Based in the EU/UK.

We do not use any advertising networks, social media pixels, or third-party analytics.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (you can do this directly by deleting your account from the dashboard).
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

How the tool works — important caveat

UAWatch tests bot access by sending HTTP requests using each bot's known user-agent string from our server. This is known as user-agent spoofing. Some firewalls and security services (including Cloudflare, WAF rules, and CDN-level bot protection) verify both the user-agent string and the originating IP address. In these cases, our results may not reflect the access that real bots experience.

UAWatch results should be treated as indicative, not definitive. We make no warranty that results are 100% accurate. Always verify significant findings independently.
